However, as Liverpool could only scoop the Premier League Ousmane Dembele has rocketed into odds-on favourite after a spectacular season helping PSG land the Champions League, Ligue 1 title and the French Cup.

Raphinha was the big favourite narrowly ahead of Kylian Mbappe when the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool were still in with a shout of landing the domestic and European title doubles.
However, Lamine Yamal is not completely ruled out at 5/1 as the young Barcelona winger has shown incredible talent through the year.
Barcelona scored a staggering 102 goals in La Liga this year – Lamal assisted 13 of those and even scored nine, while Raphinha assisted nine and scored 18 towards that tally.

However, the Champions League is such a big marker for success and the Ballon d’Or, so Dembele is the deserved odds-on favourite.
The Frenchman scored eight and assisted six in the UCL this season while also scoring 21 goals in just 29 appearances in Ligue 1.
Mohamed Salah is the third favourite at as big of a price as 16/1 while Raphinha has drifted to 20/1 to win outright.
Only one other Premier League player features among the top few candidates and that’s Cole Palmer as he helped them achieve a fourth place finish in the league and of course the Club World Cup.

Salah had 47 goal involvements (29 goals / 18 assists) in the Premier League and seven (3 goals / 4 assists) in the Champions League for a total of 54 in two competitions alone on the biggest stages.
PSG’s rise in dominance this season has been incredible too so much so that three of their players also feature among the top few, behind their odds-on favourite teammate.
Former Man United midfielder and Scotland international, Scott McTominay is also in the running, at a 150/1 shot after thriving at Napoli this season.
