After a wild week of twists, turns, and shock results, the curtain comes down on the Galway Festival this Sunday – but there’s still time to land a final winner (or three).

Whether you’re chasing a festival profit or just hoping to go out in style, the final day serves up a mix of competitive handicaps, promising novices, and one last big swing in the feature chase. Let’s dive in and see if we can finish Ballybrit with a bang.

Joe’s best horse racing betting tips for the Galway Festival on Sunday

1.50 Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle (4YO plus) 2m160y

That was a big run in defeat from RAGMANS CORNER to finish third here earlier in the week. He found plenty off the bridle and stayed on for third behind Filey Bay. Back over hurdles if he can build on that then he could find himself in the mix here. His win at Navan earlier in the season was franked on Friday with Nans View winning a big pot.

Pralognan is better than he showed here on Friday and if turned out quickly could be one of the dangers as this does lack strength in depth. Battle Of Ridgeway is another one who could get involved despite lacking a recent run.

🏇 Bet on RAGMANS CORNER each way at 5/1 with bet365 🏇

2.20 Kenny Galway Peugeot Handicap Hurdle (4YO plus) 3m60y

The money came for CHANCE ANOTHER ONE on debut for this yard at Ballinrobe and he made no mistake winning impressively. He made every yard and jumped well in the main. They would have had this in mind for him so despite the rise in weights could still be ahead of the handicapper. It will be harder to dictate given the size of the field but I don’t think he needs to lead and he looks the most progressive horse in the line-up.

Garnacho is also unexposed and impressed bolting up by 12 lengths at Bellewstown last month. He is entitled to come forward from that too so looks the danger. Nytol will find this tougher but she is on a hat-trick so shouldn’t be ignored either.

🏇 Bet on CHANCE ANOTHER ONE to win at 9/4 with bet365 🏇

3.30 Lord Hemphill Memorial Handicap Chase (4YO plus) 2m2f54y

I thought ARCTIC FLY had plenty of opportunities to dodge it at Tipperary but I loved the way she knuckled down and got on top in the closing stages. She has won two of her last four now and despite a 7lb rise if in the same form will have a big chance of following up against these. We know this track suits as she won here over hurdles as a 5yo. She should have a fair bit more to come over fences.

Sea Music ran well in the Galway Plate earlier in the week and could emerge as one of the dangers. The Banger Doyle has top-weight but hasn’t been running badly so along with Aeros Luck could get competitive in terms of a place.

🏇 Bet on ARCTIC FLY to win at 9/2 with bet365 🏇

4.00 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Ahonoora Handicap (3YO plus) 7f

After going close in the Victoria Cup GLENEAGLE BAY was a bit disappointing at Royal Ascot when last seen. He wasn’t disgraced finishing better than midfield but I know connections fancied him to get involved. I still think he is well handicapped off this mark and while this is competitive I can see him running a big one for Stephen Thorne who has impressed in the training ranks.

Dunum is the obvious one having won here earlier in the week. Princess Child was denied just a short head on Thursday and is also likely to give her running again.

🏇 Bet on GLENEAGLE BAY each way at 8/1 with bet365 🏇

4.30 Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden (2YO only) 7f

This maiden looks a straight shootout between the top pair in the betting and LUCIA MOLLY is preferred. She shaped with promise when third on debut at Bellewstown and then improved to go down less than 2 lengths at Leopardstown last month. She is getting better with experience and looks better value at the top of the market.

Joltin was a short head in front of the selection at Leopardstown and can do better so looks the danger but I really don’t think there will be a lot between them. Bang Bang best of a very moderate looking rest.

🏇 Bet on LUCIA MOLLY to win at 2/1 with bet365 🏇

5.00 Village Salthill Handicap (3YO only) 1m73y

I’d say this is quite comfortably the toughest handicap on the card so I would tread carefully. I’ve given a chance to CASHELDALE LASS at a double-figure price. She has only had a handful of starts and arrives here on a hat-trick after showing a good attitude to prevail at Naas last month. The drop back to a mile looks a good move and she is a tough, honest type.

This Farh has been running well in defeat since winning at Lingfield at the start of the season and could have a say in the outcome here. Pallatine Hills also catches the eye having gone down just a length at the Curragh when last seen.

🏇 Bet on CASHELDALE LASS each way at 10/1 with bet365 🏇

5.30 Fr. Breen Memorial (4YO plus) 2m

This very much looks a case of ‘Mullins in the Bumper’ as AL ARRIVEE is expected to take a lot of beating here. She was a good second on debut at this track last year and then won impressively at Sligo on return. She is open to plenty more improvement and looks a cut above the rest.

Doctor Steinberg won by 11 lengths at Ballinrobe but was entitled to with dangers thin on the ground. This is much tougher but he is going the right way and could threaten most.

🏇 Bet on AL ARRIVEE to win at 13/8 with bet365 🏇

My top tip for Sunday’s racing at the Galway Festival

I loved the way CHANCE ANOTHER ONE won at Ballinrobe and he looks the most progressive horse in the field so should have a great chance to follow up. ARCTIC FLY is a really nice price and she showed a good attitude to prevail last time so may well be up to the task here as she bids to follow up.

🏇 Bet a Win Double on CHANCE ANOTHER ONE and ARCTIC FLY at 16/1 with bet365 🏇
