Livvy Dunne wants to take after Taylor Swift when it comes to dating a professional athlete.
“[Taylor] has her boyfriend that’s a professional athlete and my boyfriend is a professional athlete as well,” Dunne, 22, told Page Six on Monday, August 18. “And she has her own success and I have my own success, so I try to look at her perspective on things and how she handles criticism, how she navigates. Being with a professional athlete in itself is difficult because they’re always traveling.”
Dunne has been dating Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes since 2023, while Swift, 35, has been dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce since 2023 as well.
The LSU gymnast explained that she also “admire[s]” Swift in “so many different ways.”

“Her work ethic, how much she cares about what she puts out there and how the meaning behind everything is very admirable,” she told the outlet, adding that Swift is a “trailblazer” and a “savvy business woman.”
Dunne previously showed her support for Swift after she went on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast where she joked in a clip that, “I think we all know that if there’s one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens — it’s more of me.”
The model reposted the video to her Instagram Story with a laughing emoji, while also noting that Swift “takes the heat a lot worse” than she does.
“I mean, the bigger you are, the more people you have trying to tear you down,” she told Page Six. “It just really resonated with me. It’s a unique position to be in. And I think for some people, women in sports is uncomfortable for some reason.”
Swift made headlines when she announced that she would be releasing a new record called The Life of a Showgirl via Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast on Tuesday, August 12.

“So I wanted to show you something,” Swift shared with the duo before opening up a case with her initials in orange font, which then showed her new record. “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.”
While on the podcast, Swift discussed how she and Travis started dating after he shared on the podcast that he tried to give her a friendship bracelet with his number at an Eras Tour show in July 2023.
“It was such a wild romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I want to date you!’” she recalled on “New Heights.” “At first when I looked at it, I was like, ‘This dude didn’t get a meet and greet and he’s making it everyone’s problem.’ He didn’t reach out to our management! When this podcast came out I was like, ‘Did he ever reach out to be in the tents or did we know he was in the building?’ He came with Patrick Mahomes and he thought that because he knows the elevator lady that he could just talk to her about getting [backstage]. That’s how it works in 1973.”
Swift went on to say that the gesture was “more like [she] was in an ‘80s John Hughes movie” with someone “standing outside of [her] window with a boombox.”
“So I was like, ‘If this guy isn’t crazy, which is a big if, this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about what I’ve been wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager,’” she gushed.

Travis noted that “sitting there at the Eras Tour listening to all” her music made him think, “‘This is what she wants me to do.’”
