Kim Zolciak’s estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, accused the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star of “psychological” abuse of their children in his plea for sole custody, Us Weekly can report. A rep for Zolciak adamantly denied the claims.
On Friday, August 15, Biermann, 39, filed court documents in his ongoing divorce from Zolciak, 47. The exes split in 2023 after 12 years of marriage.
They have yet to work out a settlement. The exes share four children: sons Jagger “KJ” Jr., 13, and Kash, 12, and twins Kaia and Kane, 11. During the marriage, Biermann also adopted Zolciak’s two daughters, Brielle, 28, and Ariana, 23, from a previous relationship.
In his motion, Biermann said the family had lived together in the same home until it was recently lost to foreclosure. Biermann and Zolciak moved into separate homes.
At the time, the ex-NFL star said they agreed to a parenting schedule with one-week on, one-week off. The two oldest boys come to Biermann’s house at the same time and the twins come together on different days.

Under the current plan, Zolciak and Biermann each have two children at all times.
Kim Zolciak Claims She Has 'Concerns' for Kids in Kroy Biermann's Care
“There is a noteworthy absence of structure and accountability in [Zolciak’s] home. The split/shared custody arrangement is not in the best interest of the children,” Biermann said.
He argued the current plan was not in the best interest of the children. Biermann asked the court to award him primary custody of all four minor children along with decision-making authority.
He accused Zolciak of being “both unstable and unit as a custodial parent and that the children must be immediately placed” in his primary care.
He claimed the kids wanted to spend time together and not as separate units. Biermann alleged the children lacked “proper parental guidance while in” Zolciak’s care as she “frequently leaves them alone or under the care of others for significant periods of time.”
Kim Zolciak Says Life With Ex Kroy Biermann Was 'Torture'
He claimed Zolciak was unable to demonstrate “any ability to provide for the day-to-day care of the children and she shows next to no familiarity with the children’s needs.”
Biermann claimed Zolciak has subjected the children to “emotional and psychological abuse.”

In addition, he claimed Zolciak has improper communications and conversations with the kids about him and their divorce. He alleged his ex “manipulates the children in an attempt to alienate them from” him.
Biermann said he knows the children’s needs and can manage their day-to-day schedules. He claimed a guardian appointed to represent the children and put in place as part of the divorce, will agree with his request for primary custody.
A rep for Zolciak tells Us, “The claims made in the recent filing are completely false, misleading, and deeply hurtful. Kim has always been, and continues to be, a devoted, loving, and attentive mother who puts her children’s needs above everything else.”
Kroy Requests Court-Appointed Guardian in Custody Battle Against Kim
“She has been the primary emotional anchor for her children through this difficult time, ensuring they have a stable home, healthy routines, and unconditional love. Kim has consistently been engaged in their schooling, activities, and therapy, working tirelessly to support their mental health and well-being,” according to the statement.
Zociak’s rep continued, “This filing is nothing short of a publicity stunt. Kroy caught word that Kim was filing several motions today, so he tried to get ahead of it by rushing to file this document — and doing so unsealed. Unlike Kroy’s selective and self-serving approach, Kim files all of her documents under seal to protect her children, not to manipulate headlines or public opinion.”
“These accusations are nothing more than an attempt to misrepresent the truth and gain legal advantage,” per the statement. “Kim remains committed to co-parenting in the children’s best interests and will continue to fight relentlessly for their happiness, security, and stability.”
