From Between the Hedges in Athens, Georgia to a few years in the NFL and now selling insurance, this is the story of Jake Fromm.
Before he even stepped foot on campus for the Georgia Bulldogs, Fromm starred in Netflix’s “QB1: Beyond the Lights,” as a high school senior.

All Fromm did as a true freshman in Athens was win the SEC championship, defeat Oklahoma in one of the most memorable Rose Bowl games of all-time, and come within a possession of winning the national championship.
The wide-eyed freshman quickly won over the respect of his teammates, head coach Kirby Smart, and the entire college football world. Fromm won SEC Freshman of the Year, and would go on to lead the Bulldogs for two more successful seasons, before declaring for the draft after his junior year.
Fromm was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round of the 2020 draft, before quickly moving on to the New York Giants in 2021.
From there, Fromm would see the only action of his professional career as he started two games for the G-Men that season, going 0-2.
He would go on to have a cup of coffee with the Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions, before seemingly calling it a career and heading off into the world of insurance.
What does Jake Fromm do now?
Fromm is a client advisor for an insurance brokerage in Atlanta named Sterling Seacrest Pritchard.
However, he isn’t leaving the football world entirely, as he was also announced to be a football analyst for Atlanta News First, talking all things Georgia football.
Fromm will provide pregame and postgame coverage throughout Georgia’s season, which begins on Aug. 30 against Marshall.
“I’m so excited to join the Atlanta News First team and spend time with Georgia’s passionate fan base every Saturday this fall,” Fromm said.
“We’re going to give them a fun show and make sure they’ve got everything they need before kickoff and after the final whistle.”

Fromm finished his NFL career with one touchdown, 210 yards and three interceptions. Certainly nothing to write home about, but he did manage to last five years in the National Football League. Not many can say that.
While he will hardly be remembered at that level, he will forever be talked about in Athens. He helped elevate Smart’s program to the next level.
While they fell short to Alabama in the title game, when Tua Tagovailoa came in and threw a 41-yard touchdown to DeVonta Smith that gave the Crimson Tide the national championship in overtime, it would mark the start of a dominant run for the Bulldogs.
A run that eventually culminated in back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022. Sure, Fromm wasn’t there to see it through, but his 2017 season was the turning point.
And while his NFL career never panned out, he seems to be at peace as he tackles the next chapter of his life, selling insurance while still being able to talk about the game that gave him everything.
The preseason AP Poll recently revealed its first ranking, with Georgia checking in at No.5. The expectations are high in Athens, as they always are.
NFL's Greatest......

Ranking the top 10......
Quarterbacks of all-time – Can anyone better Tom Brady?
Wide receivers of all-time – Does Randy Moss or Jerry Rice come out on top?
Running backs of all-time – Stacking Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith and more
Tight ends of all-time – How does Travis Kelce compare?
For Fromm, he will be found away from the sideline and with a microphone in his hand, breaking down his beloved Bulldogs each week.
And if anyone is looking for insurance, turns out he is also the man for that.
He may not be Jake from State Farm, but he is Jake Fromm, client advisor at Sterling Seacrest Pritchard. Close enough.
