Madelyn Cline is weighing in on speculation she’s dating longtime friend Lukas Gage.

The rumor began when DeuxMoi posted a photo of Cline, 28, and Gage, 30, via Instagram on Monday, February 2, writing over the image, “From friends to flames: Lukas Gage and Madelyn Cline turn romance real.” In the caption, DeuxMoi wrote, “🚨NEW COUPLE ALERT!”

Cline took to the comments section to shut down the idea, writing, “Omfg.” In a separate comment, she added, “Loml but also I feel like there are better pictures of me.”

Cline and Gage have been friends for years, celebrating each other’s successes along the way. In October 2025, Cline gave a shout-out to Gage for publishing his memoir, I Wrote This for Attention. Alongside the post, Cline shared a series of photos from a party for Gage.

“@lukasgage i love you forever. Go get your copy of #iwrotethisforattention its truly such an amazing book im so proud of you,” she captioned her Instagram post at the time.

Gage added in the comments section, “I LOVE U MADELINE KAHN.”

Cline has famously been linked to her Outer Banks costar Chase Stokes and Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson. Most recently, she was spotted getting cozy with Prince Constantine-Alexios of Greece and Denmark.

In September 2025, DeuxMoi shared a photo of Cline and the prince, 27, sharing a smooch as she placed her arm around his neck. Constantine-Alexios, who is the godson of Prince William, was also spotted with Cline days earlier in New York City.

Gage, meanwhile, filed for divorce from celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton in 2023 after tying the knot six months prior, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Gage and Appleton reached a divorce settlement in 2024.

As for his next romance, the People We Meet on Vacation actor exclusively told Us Weekly that he plans to be more private.

“I don’t think everything should be such an exhibition for the world,” Gage shared in September 2025. “I think some things should be kept for you and be a little more personal. And yeah, I just think there’s some things [that] should be sacred and that’s OK that I wasn’t — I was very in people’s faces in my last relationship. Maybe for the next one, we’ll just keep it a little more quiet.”

Gage reiterated to Us that he certainly plans to “keep it more low-key on the second marriage” but noted that he doesn’t have any regrets about shining a spotlight on his private life — especially in his memoir, where he details some of his darkest moments.

Madelyn Cline Laughs in Selfie With Chase Stokes’ Girlfriend Kelsea Ballerini

“You have to [laugh],” he explained to Us. “I think that’s a coping mechanism. And also, like, some crazy s*** happens, but it’s also not that crazy — it’s universal. Like, people can connect with some of this dark stuff that has happened to me. And I think, you know, I made light of it.”

He continued, “I always have humility with all things in my life, but, in reality … there was a trial and error with medications that I was on and being misdiagnosed. What comes with that, sometimes, is a manic, hyper mania going on. And yeah, it was a very impulsive, crazy time. But suddenly, when I put things into perspective and I got on the right dosage, and I, you know, got my mind clear, it just made sense that I made some of the decisions that I made, and they weren’t great, but, like I said earlier — no regrets, because maybe I wouldn’t have figured it out.”
