Texas A&M (11-1, 7-1 SEC) is just a week away from hosting Miami (10-2) in the first round of the College Football Playoff. This is the first appearance in the CFP for both programs, which have met twice over the past three seasons, tied at 1-1 since the 2023 season.

On paper, this should be one of the closer games of the weekend. Still, for the Aggies to pull through, one of the roster's key players needs to step up, as senior left tackle Trey Zuhn III made news this week after stating that Miami star pass rusher Rueben Bain won't be the central focus this weekend, cracking a smile and adding fuel to the fire.

“I don’t think he’ll be a threat we need to worry about too much.”

While Miami fans are making a big deal of this statement, Zuhn has backed up any remarks he's made this season with elite play, finishing the regular season as the highest-rated pass protector in the country per Pro Football Focus (96.9), and will likely be selected in the second or third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Colorado native is by far one of the best offensive linemen in the SEC, and on Wednesday earned the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, regarded as the conference's best blocker. When it comes to O-line play, achieving this award among future NFL starters is quite the achievement, and while Zuhn isn't expected to play left tackle at the next level, he has already proven to NFL scouts that he is highly versatile.
