The G League's OKC Blue dropped a 116-110 loss to the Austin Spurs on Friday. The road defeat puts OKC's record at 4-5 on the season.
Things didn't look pretty early on. The Blue were in a 37-18 deficit after the first quarter. They scored 32 points in the second frame, but were still down a good amount. OKC entered halftime in a 64-50 hole against the Spurs.
Both teams went back and forth in the third quarter. The Blue scored 27 points, but that did little to help them mount a comeback. They entered the final frame in a 93-77 deficit. OKC was able to get it within single-digit points, but that's about it with a 33-point fourth quarter.
The Blue shot 47% from the field and went 16-of-40 (40%) from 3. They shot 8-of-15 on free throws. They had 28 assists on 40 baskets. Six Blue players scored double-digit points.
Meanwhile, the Spurs shot 51% from the field and went 17-of-29 (58.6%) from 3. They shot 7-of-10 on free throws. They had 32 assists on 44 baskets. Six Spurs players scored double-digit points.
