Former Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander is leaving the Philadelphia Eagles indefinitely to focus on his mental and physical health according to Dianna Russini of the Athletic.

Alexander signed with the Baltimore Ravens after being released by the Packers. in June. He played seven seasons in Green Bay but was let go due to a history of injuries and salary cap concerns.

Alexander made $15.3 million with the Packers in 2024 and signed a $4 million deal with Baltimore last summer.

He played in only two games for the Ravens. before being traded along with a seventh-round draft choice to the Eagles on Nov. 2 for a sixth-round draft pick. He did not play in the game against the Packers Nov. 10.

Russini also reports that Alexander is considering retiring from the NFL.

Alexander was a first-round draft pick out of Louisville and two-time Pro-Bowler with the Packers. However, he has played in only 16 games since the beginning of the 2023 season due to various injuries.
