Tori Spelling spoke out for the first time about the divorce settlement she reached with ex-husband Dean McDermott — calling it the easiest divorce in Hollywood.

On Monday, November 10, Spelling, 52, discussed her split with McDermott, 58, on her podcast “misSpelling.”

The actress explained she started her podcast when she filed for divorce in March 2024. “As all of you have seen in the news. I am officially divorced,” Spelling said. “Wow. I said it out loud. It must be real.”

She described the settlement as a “full circle” moment and said it had been “quite a journey.”

Spelling continued, “This is something never said. This was one of the easiest divorces in Hollywood.”

Spelling and McDermott were together for 20 years and married for 18.

“While we had our ups and downs and problems throughout our marriage, we had no problems throughout the divorce, which I think is a testament to the two of us and wanting to really step up and be there for the five humans we chose to create out of love.”

Spelling said, “I am a little nervous right now,” as her voice cracked. She described the split as completely “ambicable” despite “the press” wanting to “change the narrative.”

She said everyone wanted “drama” but “we had enough drama throughout the marriage”

“This is a drama-free uncoupling and divorce,” she explained. Spelling said the settlement was reached in mediation and they did not need a trial.

“Dean and I came out of this divorce with a clean slate. Neither of us asked each other for anything,” she said. “Our kids are the most important.”

Spelling added, “Dean and I will remain friends.”

“We get along better now than we did in our marriage,” she said. “Marriage is such a traditional thing, in my mind. I was checking off the boxes. And yeah, we get along way better now. Uncoupled. Unpartnered. Two humans who are friends who genuinely love and care about each other.”

Spelling spoke out about the years of rumors that surrounded her marriage. She said everyone thought they would not make it and the press were negative towards them for years.

In court documents, the actress said they signed a deal that covers all issues, including custody of their five children: Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 8.

In her initial divorce petition, Spelling listed the date of separation as June 17, 2023. She asked the court to award her spousal support and sole custody of the kids. McDermott opposed the request for support and sole custody.

The exes eventually handled all their issues in private mediation.

After the split, Spelling began dating CEO Ryan Cramer, while McDermott started dating Lily Calo.

On top of the divorce, Spelling and McDermott still have a six-figure debt to resolve.
