The Ryder Cup gets underway on Friday at Bethpage Black in the USA.
Bethpage Black Course is this year’s setting for the PGA competition in Farmingdale, just outside of New York in the United States.
Europe won the last Ryder Cup in 2023 in Italy where they won 161/2 – 111/2.
The last four competitions have seen the hosts win, in 2016 in Minnesota team USA won and in 2018 hosted in France Europe won.
Then in the 2021 Ryder Cup, hosted back in the United States, the host team won again.
That said Europe go into this with five wins in the last seven Ryder Cups and between 1995 to 2014 the team won eight out of ten.
