Taylor Swift and her partner, Travis Kelce, have recently gotten engaged and are preparing for their wedding.

Over the years, Swift has built her fortune to an estimated $1.5 billion, while Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is reportedly worth about $70 million.

With a marriage likely to merge their assets, experts are now calling for the duo to "clearly define who owns what and how future earnings are handled" before their big day, according to The U.S. Sun.

"Just like marriage, a prenup can be one of the most romantic commitments a couple makes," said Julia Rodgers, the acclaimed attorney who founded HelloPrenup. "Think of it as modern vows - setting out each partner's goals and intentions so they enter this major financial decision aligned and at peace."

She added, "For Taylor and Travis, it's a way to keep the focus on their love story, without financial worries getting in the way."

Attorney Says A Prenup Isn't About 'Planning For Failure'

On her company website, Rodgers already details why a prenup shouldn't be frowned upon, but instead embraced by couples preparing to tie the knot.

"A prenup isn't about planning for failure—it's about building a foundation of clarity, communication, and mutual respect," her company states on its website.

"It's a tool for couples who want to enter marriage with open eyes and open hearts. Let's be honest: the only people who find prenups inconvenient are those with something to hide.

Rodger's site also included a call to action for intending couples, such as Swift and Kelce, to seek her company's services.

"We empower couples to define their future—together, transparently, and on their own terms—so they can build a marriage rooted in trust, not uncertainty," the statement further read.

For now, it's uncertain whether the couple will sign a prenup before tying the knot. However, Rodgers believes that if they do, several key provisions should be included to make it effective.

First, she noted that "a confidentiality clause is key" for such a high-profile pair with substantial wealth.

"A prenup should include strong privacy clauses to protect both their reputations, ensuring neither party can exploit personal stories or behind-the-scenes details," Rodgers shared.

"It's a practical and essential safeguard that allows them to live their private life without constant public scrutiny," she added.

The attorney also noted that the prenup must come with the "standard" requirement of "keeping premarital assets separate - whether it's Taylor's real estate portfolio valued at around $150 million, or Travis' Kansas City home."

According to Jackson, the prenup could also "carve out space for joint ventures" such as a "co-owned home or collaborative business projects."
