The first full day of Premier League action comes at us on Saturday with five games across the day from early afternoon at Villa Park through until the teatime tussle between Wolves and Manchester City at Molineux.
There are 10 Championship games, a full slate in the lower tiers, and plenty of action as Ligue 1 and La Liga return from their summer recess.

Bet of the Day – Huddersfield to beat Blackpool @ 13/8
Huddersfield are already justifying lofty pre-season expectations. Lee Grant’s side were tipped by many for a major tilt at the League One title and a pair of opening wins over Leyton Orient and Reading has added to that enthusiasm.
They had shutouts in both games and twice came from behind before beating Championship side Leicester in the EFL Cup in midweek.
Grant took massive positivity from the fact that the penalty shootout win was achieved despite making nine changes, and it’s a real sign he has put together a decent Terriers squad.
Blackpool conceded seven goals en route to losing their opening two league games to Stevenage and Exeter before firing a blank in the EFL Cup loss at home to Port Vale.
Their dismal start to the season may continue at Bloomfield Road against a promising Huddersfield outfit.
Special of the Day – Ollie Watkins anytime scorer vs Newcastle @ 6/5
The first lunchtime offering of the new Premier League season is at Villa Park where Newcastle are the visitors.
Goal difference alone split Aston Villa and Newcastle last season, the Magpies coming out on top and securing Champions League football over the Villans.
This should be a close call between the pair but Villa frontman Ollie Watkins makes strong appeal to find the net.
He has scored in all four home league outings against the Geordies, tallying five in all, and the England international has a good pre-season behind him, scoring in each of the four games he played in.
Long Shot of the Day – Tottenham -1, Dominic Solanke anytime scorer, Brennan Johnson 1+ shots on target & Tottenham to win to nil @ 6/1
The UEFA Super Cup may have ended in despair for Spurs but there was much to like for the Lilywhites in the performance against Paris Saint-Germain.
They were organised and disciplined in Thomas Frank’s first competitive game in charge and came close to shutting out the best team in Europe.
They face Burnley at home in their Premier League curtain raiser and a similar level of performance should net a handsome home win.
Dominic Solanke came on for a second-half cameo against PSG and should start now. He will get chances, while Brennan Johnson also should regain a starting berth and is a menace for Spurs from wide positions. A goal and a shot on target are anticipated from that duo respectively.
Burnley have lost last season’s top scorer Josh Brownhill and may find it hard to break down this new-look Tottenham team.
