Dillian Whyte looks ripped and ready ahead of his crossroads clash with Moses Itauma on Saturday night.

‘The Bodysnatcher’ came in at a lean 244.5lbs, his lightest weight since his 2015 bout with Brazil’s Marcelo Nascimento.

It also marked a 16.5lbs drop in weight from his last outing against Ebenezer Tetteh eight months ago.

Itauma, on the other hand, tipped the scales at 245.5lbs as the surprisingly bigger man.

That is 9lbs lighter than he was last time out for his two-round destruction of Mike Balogun.

The precocious 20-year-old is being hailed as a world champion in waiting and has torn through his first 12 opponents with relative ease.

So strong is the belief in the ability of the Chatham southpaw that he opens up as a heavy favourite despite having never boxed anyone near the calibre of Whyte.

His career-best win thus far came over Demsey McKean, who was outgunned and stopped by Filip Hrgovic at world level.

Whyte, a seasoned veteran and former WBC world title challenger with notable wins over Alexander Povetkin, Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora (twice), will act as an effective yardstick to see just how good Itauma really is.

Now 37 years old and with just two fights in three years, several members of the boxing fraternity are writing off the Brixton puncher.

But, as the shape of the man suggests, Whyte isn’t coming in to roll over.

“I’ve been training, training’s gone good. That’s it,” said Whyte.

Itauma added: “I’ve been in training for 12 tough weeks.”

“And honestly, the last three to four weeks, I’ve been saying I want to get to the easy bit. That’s the fight.

“I’ve got utmost respect for Dillian. This is nothing personal. This is business.”

Elsewhere on the bill, Nick Ball (126lbs) and Sam Goodman (125.1lbs) made championship weight for their WBA featherweight clash in the co-feature attraction.

Meanwhile, Filip Hrgovic (241.9lbs) and David Adeleye (240.5lbs) were separated by just over 1lbs for their heavyweight attraction.
