More people have backed new Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres to win this season’s Premier League Golden Boot than both Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah.

Arsenal’s new £57m signing from Sporting Lisbon is the most backed to finish as the Premier League’s top goal scorer, despite being priced at 6/1 to do so, making him joint-third favourite in the odds list.
The 27-year-old scored 54 goals for the Portuguese side in 52 matches in all competitions, as well as chipping in with 13 assists to get some of Europe’s biggest clubs circling for his services.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is priced as the 11/8 favourite to win what would be this third Golden Boot award in four seasons since joining the Premier League, and is the joint-second most backed player to do so, with 20% of bets.
The 25-year-old has scored 85 goals in 97 Premier League appearances since joining the Manchester side from Borussia Dortmund three years ago, and with the club expected to be back battling for the title after dropping off last season, the Norwegian is expected to be bang in form once again.
Last season’s Golden Boot winner, Mohamed Salah, is second favourite to win what would a fifth time with the award in what will be his ninth season of calling Anfield home.
The Egyptian, who is now 33, has received only 10% of the bets to win the Golden Boot for the upcoming season despite being priced at 9/2 to do so, following a spectacular season consisting of 47 goal contributions in the league last season, including 29 goals.
Wantaway Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is backed for the Golden Boot by as many punters as Haaland with his seemingly impending move to Liverpool to join the defending champions – the Swede is priced the same as his compatriot at 6/1 in third favourite.
Other well-backed strikers for the top scorer is new Chelsea signing Liam Delap after scoring 12 goals for an Ipswich side who picked up just 22 points in the Premier League last season, as well as Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, who are both backed by 10% of bets.
